Providers of Environment Monitoring Solutions
Envitus provides highly customised end-to-end environment solutions package that includes real-time data and customer-centric actionable intelligence
Kochi: If there is one issue that brings the humanity together today in search of an urgent solution, it is the grave environmental degradation. It makes us concerned about the future world, the air our children would breathe, the water they would drink and the dangers they might be exposed to due to the instability in our weather patterns and perilous food security.
Governments and citizens all over the world are coming together taking note of the environmental disaster unfolding around us and are proactively involving in preserving whatever precious is left to be saved. It is towards achieving this larger goal that a small experienced team of young engineers at Envitus, an initiative to offer environment solutions, works and their products are devised to meet the requirements of the demanding times.
Speaking to Destination Kerala, Arjun Varma, CMO, Alcodex Technologies Private Limited, the mother firm of Envitus, said, “Envitus is our flagship programme. We started off in 2013 with a team and developed a product which could effectively integrate technology with environment monitoring solutions with real-time, archival and futuristic output.”
Envitus, led by Abdulkhadar K A, CEO; Anees Mohammadali, Chief Software Architect and Arjun Varma, provides clients with highly customised end-to-end environment solutions package that includes real-time data and customer-centric actionable intelligence.
Operating through their four core verticals – air, soil, water and habitat, the company has already serviced over six smart cities in the country, including the highly polluted capital city of Delhi. “We have our products deployed in Nagpur, Raipur, Aurangabad, Gandhi Nagar, Kanpur and Bhopal apart from Delhi. The core of our technology hinges on IoT and our end user data can be streamed to multiple platforms – from weather info dashboards, to signages to mobile apps,” Arjun said.
The company also offers precision farming solutions and emergency response systems which are built into its products.
How it Works?
Unlike large-scale weather forecast that is beamed in from satellites, Envitus promises a more customised, user-centric product that monitors the microclimate and ambient pollutant levels. In the case of air pollutants, it has technology to monitor both indoor and outdoor pollution levels which includes a dense sensor-enabled monitoring system equipped with a versatile communication protocol supported by multiple technologies such as GSM, LoRa, Sigfox etc.
The Envitus cloud suite technology developed by the company analyses the cloud data and generates viable information using an algorithm which is then beamed into the client side in various customised formats. “In end user interfaces like mobile apps, the user can deploy the micro hyper-local climatic data to set notifications on pollutant levels and take necessary actions on an individual level,” said Arjun.
The company has major clients in South Asia, Kuala Lumpur being one. Cambodia and Indonesia are also in line to acquire environment monitoring solutions designed by the company.
According to Arjun, the company started off with a corpus fund generated by pooling modest contributions from the founders themselves. With the industry looking up and their product showing good prospects of marketability, the startup intends to acquire funds in the near future.
