Kozhikode: Aster MIMS hospital here organised a get-together of patients who had undergone cardiac surgery at the hospital. The function, held at JDT Islam’s Convention Centre, saw the participation of more than 700 patients and their families.
Dr. Murali Vettath, Head, Cardio Thoracic and Vascular Surgery Unit spoke about leading a near normal life after a cardiac surgery and also about the various dos and don’ts of post-surgery life. In his 14-year-long career in Aster MIMS hospital, Dr. Vettath and team has treated over 6000 patients.
Hari Ram, who had undergone heart transplant, expressed his gratitude to the team on the occasion through a musical salutation played on the flute. The stage also witnessed the debut of Aster MIMS hospital’s in-house music band Rhythm of Care.
