Adeeb Ahamed is Patron of Kochi Muziris Biennale 4.0
Kochi: The most awaited 4th edition of Kochi Muziris Biennale has signed in Adeeb Ahamed, Managing Director of LuLu Financial Group, Tablez and Twenty14 Holdings, as the new patron, at a function held at Grand Hyatt Hotel in Kochi. Joining the league of 'Platinum Patrons' Adeeb Ahamed, has pledged Rs one crore to the latest edition of Kochi-Muziris Biennale which gets underway on December 12.
"I think that Kochi-Muziris Biennale is what it is today because of the feedback it receives. The organisers, the wonderful artists and all have been working tirelessly to make every edition better than the last one. The installations and works showcased by the Kochi Biennale Foundation (KBF) have become an important reference in a dialogue among artists and peers all over the world. I am excited to be a part of this history, and I look forward to expanding the conversation in 2018," said Adeeb.
Hailing the contribution of Adeeb, KBF President Bose Krishnamachari said it would provide a robust impetus to the substance and flourishing of the Biennale, which has dramatically altered the cultural landscape of the country in general and of Kerala in particular. “We are very happy that young people like Adeeb understand the soft power of art and culture,” said Bose at the event.
The fourth edition of the Kochi-Muziris Biennale, which is held every two years in Kochi, will be curated by Anita Dube and the event will be through March 29, 2019.
