Sreedharan Feted at KMA Diamond Jubilee Valedictory

Kochi: E Sreedharan, Principal Advisor, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), was the chief guest at the function organised by Kerala Management Association (KMA) to mark the conclusion of its diamond jubilee celebrations.
Delivering his address, Sreedharan called for more commitment towards society in the management field. “Time-bound completion of projects calls for punctuality, social commitment and honesty,” he said.

The Metro Man cited the examples of Konkan Railway and Delhi and Kochi Metro to support his statement.
“Social commitment is the most important value to be upheld by management experts. Transparency should be ensured in all decisions,” he added.

Sreedharan was honoured on the occasion by the past presidents of KMA for his outstanding contribution to the nation and for being the management and leadership icon of the country.

The event organised on the World Women’s Day at Hotel Le Meridien here also had a special address by the Guest of Honour, Aruna Sundararajan IAS, Chairman, Telecom Commission and Secretary, Department of Telecom, Government of India. In her speech, Aruna Sundararajan said that Kerala was ahead of all other States in human resource development and women empowerment.

The year-long diamond jubilee celebrations of KMA, the pioneer management association in Kerala, ended on a high note. Dance and music programmes were also held as part of the event. KMA had started its Diamond Jubilee celebrations in 2017 by organising various programmes and initiatives. KMA President Vivek Krishna Govind presided over the valedictory function.
