IOS First Firm to Take Space in Sahya – Cyberpark’s First IT Building


Kozhikode: Kozhikode-based Infinite Open Source (IOS) has taken up the first warm shell space in Sahya, the 300,000 sq.ft. first IT building of Cyberpark. The company that was operational from NIT, Kozhikode since 2009 has taken up over 7,000 sq.ft. of space. An agreement to this effect was signed between Cyberpark and Board of Directors of IOS in the presence of Kerala IT CEO, Hrishikesh Nair.

IOS is primarily into e-commerce, cab software, multilevel/affiliated software development and mobile apps development. The company currently employs around 100 IT professionals and with the new space has plans to add in more than 70 IT professionals. “The space we have taken at Sahya can accommodate around 180 employees. We are presently setting up the interior and will be fully operational from Sahya IT building by end of January 2018,” said G V Abdul Gafoor, Director, IOS.

“We have currently six IT companies with 140 employees functioning from the Smart Business Center at Sahya. IOS is the first company that will set up its first individual space at Sahya. Once IOS is fully operational, the total strength will go up over 320 professionals. The first floor of Sahya is getting converted into Smart Business Centres with 19 individual units and will be ready to move by the end of February 2018. We have already received confirmation of space from 11 IT companies in first floor and they all will be operational by March 2018 after getting SEZ approval. By end of March, we will see over 400 IT professionals working at Cyberpark Kozhikode,” said Hrishikesh Nair.

Cyberpark is also looking at leasing of land options for IT companies on a long lease of 30 years. A US-based group M/s. Ontash has expressed interest for land in Cyberpark and will be the first co-developer who will construct their own IT building, confirmed Hrishikesh Nair.
