LuLu Group Confirms Rs. 3,000 Crore Investment in Andhra

Kochi: LuLu Group, largest retailer in the MENA region, will develop a mixed use project in Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh (AP). This was confirmed by N Chandrababu Naidu, Chief Minister of AP, after visiting the LuLu Group projects in Kochi. LuLu has been awarded the tender to develop the project at an investment of Rs. 3,000 crore in Vizag which will include a 22 lakh sq. feet. shopping mall, Marriott Hotel and a huge convention centre. Employment opportunities for over 5,000 people will be created once this project is completed.

Naidu’s one-day visit started off with the ongoing project of LuLu Group, International Convention Centre and Grand Hyatt Hotel project at Bolgatty. The Andhra CM spent around half an hour at Bolgatty with the Chairman of LuLu Group Yusuffali M A. Next in Naidu’s itinerary was a one-hour tour of LuLu Mall. The Minister visited LuLu Hypermarket, Fashion Store, Food Court and PVR cinemas along with Yusuffali in the mall buggy, accompanied by Ashraffali M A, Executive Director of LuLu Group. He also tasted some freshly made food being sold at LuLu hypermarket.

“After seeing these fantastic projects, I’m confident that LuLu will do complete justice to this ambitious project in Visakhapatnam. I’m happy to note the investments done in Kerala are contributing towards the development of the state. The world-class shopping mall and international convention centre being developed are truly remarkable. India being a huge country, this type of investment is much needed everywhere,” said Naidu.

Yusuffali expressed his sincere thanks and appreciated Naidu for giving this opportunity to LuLu Group for investing in Andhra.
