Started in 1960, Namboothiris was the first food products company in the State to introduce packed pickles commercially. The company has been acquired recently by the famed Nambeesans Group headed by Neelakantan Nambeesan. Muraleedharan Namboothiri, who was the Managing Director of the Namboothiris earlier, will continue to be part of the new leadership.

He will be in charge of the production side which, according to the new management, will ensure the quality of products as well as traditional flavour and taste.
