MSMEs Told to Enhance Use of Digital Marketing Techniques

Kochi: MSME sector in Kerala should use digital marketing technology for formulating more effective and transparent marketing strategy to enable them to scale new heights in their trade and industry entrepreneurships, said P V Velayudhan, Director, MSME Development Institute, Govt. of India.

“To expand the horizon of foreign trade and also to reach out to new clients, enhanced usage of digital marketing techniques is highly essential. MSME sector in Kerala, which was lagging behind in growth compared to the national average, has been showing an improved growth of 12 per cent from last September onwards. But Kerala has to adopt new strategies in ‘ease of doing business’ to make it more investment, industry and trade-friendly compared to other states. The Government of Kerala and industry and trade associations should pay more attention to it,’’ he said in his inaugural address at the ‘Google-FICCI Digital Marketing Certification Programme’ organised by FICCI and Google here as part of the series of programmes being conducted in various parts of the country.

S Sreejith, Google Certified Master Trainer, led the training session on ‘Digital Marketing.’ Google-FICCI digital marketing certificate would be issued to the participants who complete the training programme successfully.
