Intellectual Property Awareness Workshop


Kochi: Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) in association with Intellectual Property India, Department of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, is organising an Intellectual Property Awareness programme here on February 18. P M Francis IAS, Director, (Industries & Commerce) Govt. of Kerala will inaugurate the IP Awareness workshop at Hotel Woods Manor, MG Road.

The objective of the programme is to generate awareness and sensitivity towards Intellectual Property Rights amongst all relevant stakeholders. India’s commendable vision of the National Intellectual Property Rights Policy, announced in May 2016 has catapulted IP to the forefront of the country’s economic strategy.

FICCI, through this conference, celebrates the spirit of Intellectual Property in all its forms and encourages stakeholders to leverage IP in strengthening India’s business landscape. The programme is aimed at inspiring creativity and innovation amongst the citizens by equipping them with the knowledge of IP rights of creators & innovators, modes of protecting IP and advantages of IP to individuals and entrepreneurs.
