Ramkumar Menon Becomes Fourth Keralite to Lead JCI India


Bengaluru: Junior Chamber International, one of the leading global networks of young active citizens, will be headed by a Keralite in India for the year 2017.

Elevated to be the 62nd president of JCI India, Jc. Ramkumar Menon, a resident of Tripunithura in Ernakulam district, joins an elite club of only four Keralites to reach this coveted post.

Jc. Ramkumar Menon was unanimously elected at the National Convention of JCI India held in Bengaluru recently by the general assembly consisting of representatives from over 2000 chapters across the country. He is also a member and past president of JCI Cochin, one of the key JCI chapters of the country, with a proud history of 52 years.

An individual development organisation that aims to create better nations and a peaceful world, JCI is a confluence of entrepreneurs, young leaders and professionals between the age of 18 and 40 years. Junior Chamber International is also the official partner of United Nations, working together to realise its social development goals.

Ramkumar Menon, while accepting his position, also announced National President’s Flagship Programme ‘Sujal’ that aims at providing safe drinking water to over 3000 deserving government schools across India.
