Focus on Making Kerala ‘Faster, Smarter and Cleaner’


Thiruvananthapuram: TRIMA 2016, the annual management convention of Trivandrum Management Association (TMA), will be held at Vivanta by Taj in Thiruvananthapuram on December 8 and 9, 2016. P Sathasivam, Governor of Kerala, will inaugurate the convention, which has ‘Towards a Faster, Smarter and Cleaner Kerala’ as its central theme. Pinarayi Vijayan, Kerala Chief Minister, will inaugurate the valedictory function on December 9 at 4 pm.

More than 500 delegates will take part in the convention which will witness the convergence of industry leaders, decision makers, professionals and policy makers, according to Dr. M I Sahadulla, Chairman, TRIMA Committee and CMD, KIMS. “The flagship event of TMA proposes to dwell on how Kerala can leverage Digital India, Ease of Doing Business and Swachch Bharat initiatives of the Union Government,” he said. S Ramnath, President, TMA and CEO, Leela Inforpark added that Prasad  Unnikrishnan, Director, KPMG Advisory Services and K E Faizal, Chairman, KEF Holdings, Dubai will attend the inaugural function.

Elaborating the theme of TRIMA 2016, G Unnikrishnan, Hon. Secretary, TMA and Deputy GM, KSIDC said that there will be three separate technical sessions on ‘Faster Kerala, Smarter Kerala and Cleaner Kerala’. ‘‘Doing business in Kerala will be on fingertips within a short span of time. Kerala is the first State to complete the National Optic Fibre Network (NOFN) project. At present, the State is equipped to provide high-speed internet via optic fibre in all grama panchayats. The State is also coming up with a strong showing in ‘Swachh Bharat’ ranking. The three technical sessions of TRIMA 2016 will deliberate on these aspects and create a roadmap to utilise the opportunities effectively,” he said.
