Biennale Music: Anoop G Krishnan, Team Belt Out Soothing Melodies


Kochi: Playback singer Anoop G Krishnan’s rendition of the song Amma Eendrazhaikaadha from Tamil movie Mannan had  a soothing effect on patients and bystanders at the Government General Hospital’s weekly ‘Arts and Medicine’ show.

The vocalist hailing from Tripunithura has lent his voice in 14 films like Janapriyam, Cleopatra, Vadhyar, Breaking News, Kohinoor, Drishyam, Kammatippadam and Kismath, among others.

Joining Anoop was singer SangeethaVarma, a postgraduate in music, a radio artist at All India Radio, and music director of the Malayalam film ‘Cleopatra’.

Both singers regaled a crowd of patients, bystanders and hospital staff with numerous songs.

The show comprising melodious Hindi, Tamil and Malayalam numbers wound up with a duet, ‘Nee en Kinavofrom the 1986-movie Hello My Dear Wrong Number, by Anoop and Sangeetha.

This was the 145th edition of the event organised every Wednesday by Kochi Biennale Foundation in association with Lakeshore Hospital and Research Centre Limited and Mehboob Memorial Orchestra.
