Corporate360 is all set to Launch India’s First Rural IT Park Owned by a Startup

Thiruvananthapuram: Corporate360, a unique startup which began functioning with a five- member team in a small town called Pathanapuram in Kerala, is all set to  establish the State’s first rural IT Park wholly owned by a startup.

Touted as the first co-working, co-living startup ecosystem in Kerala, the   new facility in Pathanapuram will have 200 co-working seats and co-living space for 30 startups. Selected students and startups from central Kerala will have access to internship, mentoring, ideation work-space and seed funding at the facility.

“This is going to change a lot of things. Imagine a situation wherein graduates from rural areas no more need to move to big cities for work or startup incubation. This means there will be no more talent drain of educated youth from rural areas. It will lead to balanced development of small towns and villages,’’ said Varun Chandran, CEO, Corporate 360.

“Two years ago, we began our startup journey in the small town of Pathanapuram. Corporate360 started operations in a restored tourist home facility. We had been working hard since then and created over 100 digital jobs in rural Kerala. In a couple of weeks, we will open the facility which will be Kerala’s first rural IT Park,’’ he said.

Corporate360 offers SaaS-based marketing data cloud software to B2B marketers to help discover sales leads, ideal buyer contacts, technology installations and competitive intelligence. With 40 executives in five countries, we are a fast growing company with over 240 global customers. With the new office in Pathanapuram, the startup aims to create 100 new jobs by the end of this year, he said.

This 12,000-sq. ft. startup space will be a boost to Kerala’s startup ecosystem and will benefit student entrepreneurs from central Kerala. Corporate360 will partner with KSUM and IEDC at colleges in Kollam, Pathanamthitta and Alappuzha districts to provide startup work space and mentorship for student entrepreneurs, and organise innovation workshops and facilitate internship opportunities for them.

Besides Corporate360, other startups operating from the new facility at Pathanapuram include Travalour (a travel app startup), Nalikeram (an e-commerce startup), Startup Escape (a non-profit startup boot camp) and two stealth mode startups.

There is an opportunity to leverage digital economy on a permanent basis to create employment, improve the confidence and digital skills of young people from smaller towns and C360 is setting an example for this in Kerala, Varun Chandran said.
