Destination Hub of Spiceland Holidays Launched in Kochi

Kochi: Spiceland Holidays, a global destination management company with offices across major cities in India and abroad, has launched a Destination Hub here, which is the largest outbound travel shop in South India. Destination Hub was launched by Arundika Fernando, Deputy Minister of Tourism and Christian Religious Affairs, Sri Lanka and Ravindra Samaraweera, Minister of Labour and Trade Union Relations, Sri Lanka here the other day.

Speaking on the occasion, Riyaz U C, Managing Director, Spiceland Holidays said, “with the rebranding and launch of Destination Hub, we focus on catering to both domestic as well as international tourists and, as always, we guarantee an enriching and an exceptional experience to travelers.’’ He said Spiceland Holidays is one of the biggest consolidator for India and Sri Lanka with a tradition since 2004. It is a journey that started in Kerala. K V Thomas MP, Hibi Eden MLA and others were also present at the function.

Meanwhile, Raveendra Samaraveera said Sri Lanka is exploring the possibility of signing MoUs with Kerala on tourism, agriculture, road and health sectors. He was speaking to reporters along with Arundika Fernando. “Sri Lanka and Kerala have lot of similarities. There are a lot of areas we can collaborate. Already, we are collaborating with a number of Indian states. Signing MoUs will benefit both parties,” he said.

Minister Arundika Fernando said the Sri Lankan Government is planning to promote religious tourism in a big way with focus on Ramayana trail and other pilgrim centres.
