Destination-Kerala-RSET

Kochi: Rajagiri School of Engineering & Technology (RSET) has signed an MoU with ATWIC Research & Development Pvt. Ltd., which focus on R&D in Electronics and Instrumentation and works jointly with premier organisations like DRDO and ISRO.

Through this, the students and faculty of RSET will get an opportunity to collaborate with them on areas such as Sensing, Telemetry, Storage, Signal Processing, Control and Power applications.

Fr. Jose Alex CMI, Director, RSET and Sivan P V, Managing Director, ATWIC signed the MoU on behalf of their respective institutions.

“Students are usually passionate about working in core areas during their initial semesters. But, in general, they are unaware of the potential and opportunities of core technologies, due to which they show an inclination for choosing software jobs. We are ready to open up the opportunities in Electronics and Instrumentation to the future generations,” said Sivan, speaking on the occasion.

‘‘There are plenty of long-term opportunities in the core industries. But their intake is low. Compared to IT companies, their selection process is   more competitive. We want our students to be well equipped by the time they reach final year,’’ said Fr. Jose Alex.

As per the understanding, ATWIC will open their R&D lab at RSET Incubation Centre and will start activities from June 2017 onwards.

Dr. A Unnikrishnan, Principal, RSET; Dr. John M George, Dean & Vice Principal, RSET and Rijin John, COO, Rajagiri Incubation Centre were also present.
