Exclusive Bus Service for Technopark Employees Flagged Off

Thiruvananthapuram: A new bus service offering affordable, hassle-free and safe travel for techies employed at Technopark here was launched the other day.

The first service of Technopark Express, the short-route bus service for Park employees, was flagged off by Hrishikesh Nair, CEO, Technopark at Bhavani building bus stop. Shamon, President, Technopark Travel and Tourism Society, was also present on the occasion.

The bus service will operate from different boarding points such as Kazhakoottam Railway station, Kazhakoottam Junction, Kariavattom Junction and Trippadapuram to Technopark Phase 1, Technopark Phase III, UST Global and Infosys. The fare for this service will be collected on a monthly basis using prepaid access cards provided by the Society. The app-based access cards will be available from the Society.

“Prepaid access cards are ready with registration fee of Rs. 20 and a caution deposit of Rs. 50 (refundable). Recharges of Rs. 100 (10 trips), 200 (20 trips), and 500 (monthly, no additional registration fee or caution deposit needed) are available,” said Nighil Raveendran, Secretary, Technopark Travel and Tourism Society.

The bus will be equipped with GPS-enabled tracking systems developed by VehicleST.  A security guard will be present in the vehicle on all trips.
