Adeeb-Ahamed

Kochi: How else can you refer to the man who, in a short span of few years, is overseeing a global hospitality empire that is growing, while his other businesses are prospering?

36-year-old Adeeb Ahamed, Managing Director of Twenty14 Holdings, Lulu Financial Group and Tablez – the hospitality, financial services and organised retail businesses, is that prince. Adeeb’s business acumen, tailor-made strategies and entrepreneurial prowess have helped him keep his business initiatives ahead of his peers.

Twenty14 Holdings acquired Great Scotland Yard, the former headquarters of the London Metropolitan Police, in 2015. With developer Galliard Homes (£110 million agreement) on board, the iconic piece of London’s history is now being transformed into a boutique high-end 156-key property, The Great Scotland Yard Hotel.

“It is going to be the first-of-its-kind in London – in terms of operator and the brand, which we will soon announce,” states a visibly proud Adeeb. Twenty14 Holdings currently has assets worth more than $650 million spread across the UK, GCC and India. It reopened the iconic Sheraton Oman in association with Al Hashar Group in late 2016.

A passionate F&B professional, Adeeb is focussed on creating a revolution in the hospitality industry. He is particular about introducing unique F&B concepts, and design at his properties. He chose Steigenberger, one of the oldest hospitality chains based in Germany, to operate his first five-star hotel in the UAE. “We wanted to go with a fresh face in the market. It was a gamble but with an expert team, we have done fairly well,” he says.

Marking its entry into India, Twenty14 Holdings has acquired a property near Cochin International Airport Limited (CIAL) in Kerala. The 55-room hotel is slated to open in late 2017. The company bought its second property close to the Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru, and it will be operational next year.

Twenty14 Holdings has many projects in the pipeline and Adeeb is sure they will succeed. However, his personal ambition is to set up a luxury spa resort in Kerala. “I have a dream concept in mind and we are looking for a suitable location,” he signs off.
