KMA Meet to Focus on Topics of Contemporary Interest

Kochi: The 36th Annual Convention of Kerala Management Association (KMA) will be held on March 9 and 10 at Le Meridien Convention Centre in Kochi. The largest congregation of business leaders, entrepreneurs, management professionals and students in the State, this edition will feature keynote speeches and panel discussions on the theme ‘Changing India – New Paradigms.’

The Annual Convention will be inaugurated by Padma Vibhushan Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, international yoga expert and founder of Isha Foundation, on March 9 at 6 pm.

Elaborating on the theme, Vivek Krishna Govind, Senior Vice President, KMA and Chairman, Convention Committee, said, “The flagship event of KMA brings together the best of corporate leaders and professionals in the country. This year, in keeping with the theme, the format of the convention has been amended to include topics of contemporary interest. Sadhguru’s inaugural address on ‘Nurturing India in Changing Times’ will be the highlight of the convention.’’

Power-packed sessions on topics like Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, Digital Revolution, Goods and Services Tax, Startup Ecosystem, Fashion, Sports and other relevant subjects which underline the new paradigms of an ever-changing India will engage 1000-plus registered delegates.

Other keynote speakers include successful business leaders and thinkers of our time like T N Manoharan, Chairman, Canara Bank (past president, ICAI); Firdose Vandrevala, immediate past president, AIMA and former MD, Tata Power; Mahesh Vyas, CEO & Chief Economist, CMIE; V G Mathew, MD & CEO, South Indian Bank; Dr. Roshy John, Head – Robotics, TCS; Ullas Kamath, Joint MD and CFO, Jyothy Laboratories Limited and Dr. Anuradha Balaram, Former Member Secretary & Chief Economic Advisor – Kerala State Planning Board.

2017 is KMA’s Diamond Jubilee Year and a host of programmes have been chalked out to celebrate this milestone.

Mathew Urumbath, President, KMA said, “We will have the inaugural event on March 20 with R K Krishna Kumar, Trustee, Sir Dorabji Tata Trust and Sir Ratan Tata Trust, as chief guest and keynote speaker. A Management Olympiad, envisaged as the largest congregation of management students and academicians in the State, is being planned on June 20 and 21, and on August 23 we will organise the next edition of the Shaping Young Minds Programme in association with All India Management Association.’’
